Joyfully Dancing Creatures

Joyfully Dancing Creatures are very happy. You are happy, too, aren’t you?

Creating a Joyfully Dancing Creature

“Joyfully Dancing” is an acquired template that can be added to any corporeal creature (referred to hereafter as the base creature).

A joyfully dancing creature uses all the base creature’s statistics and abilities except as noted here. Do not recalculate the creature’s Hit Dice, base attack bonus, saves, or skill points if its type changes.

Size and Type

Animals or vermin with this template become magical beasts, but otherwise the creature type is unchanged. Size is unchanged.

Special Attacks

Dance of Joy (su) A joyfully dancing creature can begin a dance of joy as a standard action. Each round, this dance can affect a single creature within range (10 feet) of the joyfully dancing creature’s choosing. Affected creatures must make a Will save (DC 10 + ½ racial HD + Cha modifier) or be affected by Irresistable Dance. Victims are affected for as long as the dance of joy is maintained, plus an additional 1d4 rounds. A joyfully dancing creature must spend a move action each round to maintain the dance of joy. The joyfully dancing creature can take a 5 foot step in a round in which the dance of joy is maintained. While maintaining a dance of joy, a joyfully dancing creature and all of its allies within 10 feet gain a +1 morale bonus to attack rolls and Will saves.

Special Qualities

A joyfully-dancing creature is immune to paralysis and despair-inducing effects.

Abilities

Increase from the base creature as follows: Dex +2, Cha +2.SkillsA joyfully dancing creature gains a +8 racial bonus on all Perform (dance) checks. It can always choose to take 10 on a Perform (Dance) check, even if distracted or endangered.

Environment

Cabarets.
Challenge Rating

Same as the base creature + 2.
Level Adjustment

Same as base creature +3.

  1. I noticed you only specified “corporeal” but not “living”. At last, D20 Thriller! Expect angry comments from my players when they are assailed by deep-fried dancing zombie bears. Fantastic!
